Job Description Role Title: Product and Packaging Designer Department: Marketing Location: Bangalore

Role Summary Responsible for developing product artwork, packaging design, and print-ready files while ensuring all product markings, labels, and regulatory requirements are accurately implemented. The role ensures consistency, quality, and compliance across all printed and packaged materials.

Key Responsibilities Product & Packaging Design • Create product artwork, packaging layouts, and label designs as per brand guidelines. • Develop creative concepts for cartons, pouches, labels, inserts, and other packaging materials. • Ensure designs are production-ready and aligned with printing specifications. • Coordinate with marketing and product teams for design inputs and approvals.

Printing & Pre-Press Management • Prepare print-ready files (CMYK, bleed, dielines, etc.). • Liaise with printers and vendors for proofing and final output. • Review color proofs and ensure print quality standards are met. • Troubleshoot artwork or printing issues with vendors.

Marking & Compliance • Ensure all product markings are accurate and compliant (MRP, batch no., mfg/exp dates, barcodes, statutory info, etc.). • Verify packaging against regulatory and brand requirements before release. • Maintain version control of artworks and ensure latest files are used. • Support audits related to labeling and packaging compliance.

Quality & Process Control • Conduct pre-production checks and final artwork approvals. • Maintain packaging specification sheets and artwork archives. • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all SKUs. • Coordinate with production/QA teams for smooth packaging rollout.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination • Work closely with external printers, packaging vendors, and internal teams. • Track timelines to ensure on-time delivery of packaging materials. • Support new product launches with packaging readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Technology, or related field. • 2–5 years of experience in packaging design / print production. • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (mandatory). • Strong knowledge of printing processes (offset, flexo, digital). • Understanding of packaging materials and dielines. • Familiarity with barcode standards and statutory labeling. • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills • Experience in FMCG / Pharma / Manufacturing environment. • Knowledge of color management and pre-press workflows. • Basic understanding of regulatory labeling requirements. • Experience working with multiple SKUs.
