Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic
Retail Trainer
to lead the learning and development journey across our retail stores. This individual will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that elevate team performance, enhance customer experience, and reinforce brand standards.
This is a critical role that combines content development, in-store coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to support Firefly’s fast-growing retail footprint.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (specialization in Communication or Training is a plus).
4–8 years of experience in retail or retail training; jewellery, luxury retail, or lifestyle brand experience preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Experience in creating digital and physical training content.
Familiarity with LMS tools, training assessments, and performance metrics.
Ability to work independently, travel for store visits, and manage multiple training calendars.
High energy, brand-aligned, and a strong believer in continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Training Content Development
Design structured, high-quality training modules focused on:
Sales techniques (consultative selling, upselling, closing)
Product knowledge (lab-grown diamonds, 4Cs, comparison with natural diamonds)
Soft skills (body language, empathy, active listening)
Grooming, presentation, and customer interaction
Update content regularly based on:
Market trends and competitor practices
Store-level feedback and skill gaps
New product launches or brand updates
Ensure all content is easy to grasp, visually engaging, and aligned with Firefly’s tone and style.
Training Delivery & Execution
Conduct regular
in-store
and
virtual
training sessions as per training calendar.
Execute timely
induction
,
refresher
, and
advanced
training programs.
Deliver
on-the-job coaching (OJT)
during store visits and provide live feedback.
Maintain full coverage through a structured weekly schedule.
Training Evaluation & Impact
Create assessment formats (quizzes, roleplays, feedback forms) to evaluate effectiveness.
Track performance metrics such as
conversion rate, ATV, ASP
to measure training ROI.
Submit monthly reports with key insights, impact analysis, and improvement plans.
Identify high-potential employees for focused coaching.
Brand & Culture Representation
Promote Firefly’s brand tone, values, and service standards through every training touchpoint.
Reinforce grooming, etiquette, and customer interaction benchmarks.
Support new store launches with structured training rollouts and SOP alignment.
Act as a
culture custodian
, ensuring store teams embody the Firefly ethos.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with
Sales, HR, Product, and Marketing
to sync training with business needs.
Partner with HR for onboarding and learning journeys of new joiners.
Integrate marketing campaigns and new product knowledge into training content.
Customize interventions to address specific sales or service performance gaps.
Training Documentation & Management
Maintain a well-organized training repository (LMS, Google Drive, etc.).
Track attendance, feedback, evaluations, and individual learning progress.
Ensure audit-ready documentation of all training activities.
Monitor learning path consistency across stores and teams.
