Role Description We are seeking an experienced

Freelance Front-End Engineer

with strong expertise in

React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript , and

Optimizely Headless SaaS CMS . The consultant will act as a

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

for Optimizely, leading front-end design, development, debugging, and integration efforts for modern, content-driven web applications. This role requires a

delivery-oriented engineer

who can take projects end-to-end—from conception and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support—while collaborating effectively with global teams.

Key Responsibilities Act as a

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

for the

Optimizely SaaS / Headless CMS

platform, supporting design, debugging, and content architecture planning Design and develop

UI components

using

Optimizely Headless SaaS CMS Build and maintain

front-end websites

using

React and Next.js , integrating Optimizely SaaS content components Advise and implement

integrations between website front ends (“heads”) and the Optimizely SaaS CMS Assist in designing

user interactions and user experience flows

on web pages Ensure

cross-platform optimization , including mobile device compatibility Ensure

responsive and performant

web applications Collaborate with

graphic designers

to implement web design features accurately Work across time zones using tools such as

Slack, Jira, and GitHub Own projects end-to-end, from

initial concept to final delivery Code, test, and debug

new and existing web applications Create and maintain

technical and application documentation Provide

weekly status reports

covering completed, ongoing, and upcoming work Work with stakeholders to translate

business requirements into technical solutions Provide

production support

and issue resolution as required Perform other related duties as needed Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with

React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript Proven experience working with

Optimizely SaaS / Headless CMS Experience integrating

headless CMS platforms

with modern front-end frameworks Strong understanding of

responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization Experience working in

Agile environments Strong communication and collaboration skills
