Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Innoverv is seeking a Data Lead Architect (Managing Director) to lead our Data, Analytics, and Information Architecture capability across SAP-led transformation programmes.
This is a senior leadership role combining strategic advisory, enterprise architecture, and hands‑on delivery, working with global clients to define and implement data strategies across SAP S/4HANA and adjacent ecosystems.
The role requires strong executive presence, deep SAP data expertise, and functional understanding, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders while independently leading architecture design and client workshops.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to CIO, CFO, and Data leadership on data strategy and SAP transformation roadmaps
- Lead discovery / assessment engagements, defining options, approaches, and business cases
- Shape Innoverv’s Data capability, assets, and propositions
Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops
- Define and govern end-to-end data architecture across SAP S/4HANA
- Define and govern end-to-end data architecture across SAP Reporting & Analytics stack (SAC, Datasphere, BW/4HANA, BDC, Embedded Analytics)
- Define and govern end-to-end data architecture across Integration with non-SAP platforms (CRM, PLM, Planning, etc.)
- Define and implement a Unified Data Model (UDM) aligning core data objects (e.g., Business Partner, Material, Finance) across systems
- Establish conceptual and logical data models and ensure consistency across domains
- Design scalable data and reporting architectures
Reporting & Analytics
- Lead architecture and delivery across the SAP analytics landscape
- Define management reporting frameworks, KPIs, and harmonised metrics
- Enable consistent reporting across business units and geographies
Data Migration
- Lead end-to-end data migration strategy and execution, including data scoping, cleansing, harmonisation, validation, migration approaches (Greenfield, Brownfield, Bluefield), and tooling such as Syniti, SNP, SAP Migration Cockpit
- Establish data quality frameworks and controls
- Drive business‑led data ownership
Master Data Management & Governance
- Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks
- Lead SAP MDG (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance) architecture and deployment
- Design and establish Data Governance organisations / Data CoEs, including roles such as Data Owners, Stewards, and Custodians
- Enable single source of truth across systems
Functional Alignment
- Work across business domains including Finance (preferred), P2P, O2C, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Integration with non-SAP platforms (CRM, PLM, Planning, etc.)
- Translate business processes into data models, reporting, and governance structures
Required Experience & Skills
Core Expertise
- Strong experience in at least two of the following (preferably all three): SAP Reporting & Analytics (SAC, Datasphere, BW/4HANA, BDC, Embedded Analytics); Data Migration (strategy, tools, execution); Master Data Management (SAP MDG, governance frameworks)
SAP & Technology Landscape
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures and architecture, and integration with adjacent enterprise platforms
- Experience defining Unified Data Models and enterprise data architectures in complex landscapes
Functional Understanding
- Strong expertise in at least one domain: Finance (preferred), Procurement (P2P), Supply Chain / Manufacturing, O2C
- Ability to link data models with business processes and KPIs
Leadership & Consulting
- Experience operating at both executive advisory level (CIO, CFO, CDO) and hands‑on architecture and delivery level
- Ability to lead independent workshops and stakeholder discussions
Nice to Have
- Industry experience: CPG, Pharma / Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Retail
- Exposure to EPM (management reporting, planning, consolidation, KPI frameworks)
- Experience with non-SAP MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, TIBCO EBX, etc.)
