General Manager

Job Title: General Manager – Edible Oils (Sunflower Oil Production)

Location: Dodoma, Tanzania

Industry: Edible Oils / Sunflower Oil Production

Experience Required: 10–15 years (minimum 5 years in a Senior Leadership Role)

Position Overview :

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead overall business operations for our Edible Oils division. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Production, along with solid technical knowledge of edible oil manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage overall plant operations for the Edible Oils business - Oversee Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions - Drive profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency - Review and analyze financial performance, budgets, and MIS reports - Ensure smooth functioning of procurement, inventory, and logistics - Implement best practices in production planning and process control - Ensure statutory, safety, and quality compliance - Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams - Coordinate with senior management and contribute to strategic decisions - Monitor KPIs and ensure achievement of business targets

Required Experience & Skills

- 10–15 years of total experience, including minimum 5 years in a senior/leadership role - Strong working knowledge of the Edible Oils industry and production processes - Hands-on experience in Finance, Costing, and P&L management - Proven expertise in Supply Chain Management (procurement, warehousing, logistics) - Experience managing large teams and multi-department operations - Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills - Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field - MBA/Advanced Management qualification will be an added advantage
