About the Role -
The Lead/Manager – College Operations & Student Success owns end-to-end academic outcomes, student success, engagement, and operational excellence across one or more partner colleges. The role is accountable for batch-wise performance, failure-rate reduction, student retention, and overall program quality, while building strong college partnerships and leading high-performing on-ground teams.
This is a leadership role that blends academic outcome ownership, student experience design, stakeholder management, and people leadership to drive measurable impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Performance & Quality
Own academic performance across colleges and batches using assessments, results, and learning data
Identify performance gaps at the student, subject, trainer, or batch level and diagnose root causes
Design and execute corrective academic interventions including remedials, trainer support, and content reinforcement
Collaborate with academic and training teams to improve learning outcomes and reduce failure rates
Ensure consistent academic quality and adherence to program standards across colleges
Student Success, Engagement & Retention
Own attendance, engagement, retention, CSAT, NPS, and batch continuity metrics
Identify at-risk students or batches early and drive timely academic or engagement interventions
Ensure a strong student experience through industry exposure, community-building, and structured engagement initiatives
Drive student advocacy, referrals, and positive brand representation within partner colleges
Student Culture, Events & Brand Building
Lead end-to-end planning and execution of partner college fests and major on-campus events, including concept design, coordination, execution, and IIDE brand integration
Build a strong on-campus student culture through academic, cultural, and community-led initiatives
Plan and enable competitions, showcases, industry meets, and student-led activities
Encourage students to build personal brands through content, projects, competitions, and industry visibility
Ensure consistent execution of engagement and brand initiatives through on-ground teams
Faculty & Trainer Excellence
Source, onboard, and manage industry trainers aligned to program and college requirements
Review trainer effectiveness through feedback, classroom observations, and academic outcomes
Maintain a scalable and reliable trainer pool to ensure continuity and academic quality
Plan and execute industry-led masterclasses and supersessions to enhance student learning and networking
College Partnership & Growth Enablement
Own end-to-end performance of assigned college partnerships
Lead strategic discussions with college leadership on academic outcomes, engagement, and partnership growth
Enable admissions growth through institutional initiatives, student advocacy, and collaboration with central teams
Act as the primary on-ground point of ownership for partner college relationships
Team Leadership & Governance
Build, hire, onboard, and manage high-performing on-ground teams across partner colleges
Own team capacity planning, deployment, and role clarity aligned to college and batch needs
Set clear KPIs, execution standards, and accountability frameworks for teams
Drive regular performance reviews, feedback, coaching, and capability-building initiatives
Address performance gaps through training, role realignment, or exits when required
Create and enforce SOPs and governance rhythms to ensure consistent execution at scale
Data Ownership & Operational Excellence
Own accurate creation, maintenance, tracking, and analysis of academic, student, and operational data including attendance, assessments, assignments, results, and batch records
Use data to drive reviews, insights, and corrective actions across academics, engagement, and operations
Candidate Profile
6–10 years of experience owning academic operations, student success, or education programs with measurable outcome responsibility
Proven experience managing multi-college, multi-batch, or large-scale education programs end-to-end
Demonstrated impact in improving academic outcomes including pass rates, failure reduction, retention, and batch performance
Experience hiring, scaling, and managing on-ground teams with clear ownership of team performance
Strong stakeholder leadership with the ability to influence college leadership, trainers, and internal teams
Data-driven decision-maker with a structured approach to problem-solving
Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with reviews, governance, and leadership responsibilities
MBA / PGDM preferred
Based in Mumbai or open to frequent travel across partner colleges
