About this position
We are looking for a People & Culture Lead to work closely with the Founder and leadership team to
build and scale Janitri’s people ecosystem for the next decade. This is not a traditional HR role. The position requires an entrepreneurial people leader who brings first-principles thinking to organizational building — aligning hiring, culture, leadership development, and performance with business outcomes. We are specifically looking for someone who has worked hands-on across Talent Acquisition and HR Operations earlier in their career, understands the realities of building teams from the ground up, and has consciously transitioned into a broader People & Culture leadership role.

CTC - upto 18-24 LPA Fixed + 25 Lakhs INR worth ESOPs
Key Responsibilities:
● Partner directly with the Founder’s Office and leadership team to define and drive the overall
people and culture strategy.
● Strengthen organizational culture while maintaining agility in a fast-growing startup
environment.
● Develop performance management, goal-setting, and leadership development frameworks.
● Enable managers and leaders to build accountable, high-performing teams.
● Drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
● Establish structured onboarding, learning, and capability-building programs.
● Build HR systems and processes that support scale without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
● Use people analytics and hiring metrics to support workforce planning and decision-making.
● Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, team structure, and people
challenges.
● Champion Janitri’s mission-driven culture and employer brand.
Who We’re Looking For:
● A people professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership orientation.
● Someone who has personally handled Talent Acquisition and HR Operations and understands the
complete employee lifecycle.
● Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
● Exposure to organizational scaling and evolving team structures.
● Ability to think from first principles rather than relying only on traditional HR frameworks.
● Comfortable working closely with founders and navigating ambiguity.
● Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
● Believes deeply that people strategy is business strategy.
Experience & Qualification:
● 5–8 years of experience across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and People/Culture roles.
● Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end HR responsibilities during earlier career stages.
● Experience in startup or fast-scaling organizations preferred.
● Prior exposure to founder-led environments is highly desirable.
● MBA or equivalent qualification in HR / Organizational Development or related field preferred.
