Sales Tax Exemption Analyst

The Exemption Analyst position would involve understanding and validating various kinds of US-based corporate tax documents / Exemption certificates. Performs a variety of tasks associated with verifying and processing customer sales tax exemption documentation. Ensures documents meet compliance requirements.

This position requires the ability to learn quickly to start working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Obtains, reviews and approves sales tax exemption documentation from external customers. - Communicate with all customers through email, who have not yet submitted the Sales Tax Exemption Certificates in client's Tool. - Verify the form meets the governmental and customer audit requirements as per the industry requirements as well as the law of the land. - Communicate to the manager ongoing status and unusual forms encountered. - Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and building efficiency. - Stay abreast of all the updates & and trends, and support overall production/Accuracy goals. - Ability to meet the SLAs and ensure accurate and timely reporting. - Flexible to extend working hours, working on weekends and holidays as may be required to complete the exemption processing requirements.

Requirements:

- Graduated from a reputed college or university - 1 to 2 years of work experience in a MNC - The position requires oral and written communication with external customers and collaboration with internal contacts. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data transformation techniques and processes - Professional demeanour, team player, and positive attitude, able to adapt to changing priorities. - Demonstrated high standards of excellence in work product and professionalism. - Strong attention to detail with precision, required to make a variety of decisions, some complex in nature - Excellent logical and analytical skills - Flexible to work in a 24/7 environment as per the business requirement.
