Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products. Identify solutions to improve production efficiency. Responsible for the specification compliance of designs. Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, thermal and structural analysis Responsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration of availability and cost. Responsible for creation of 2D & 3D drawings to allow manufacture or purchase. Responsible for generation of Assembly drawings and bills of materials. Finalized design and proceed prints to the procurement department. Ensures the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design. Responsible for reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the Design Manager. Creation of technical reports and documentation if required. Responsible for checking drawing/parts libraries are up to date and correct regularly.
