Overview:
We are seeking a
Technical Lead / IT Manager
to oversee the development and evolution of our enterprise-wide
GraphQL API layer
, which serves as the central integration platform connecting all enterprise systems and applications. This role combines
technical leadership
with
people management
, ensuring the team delivers scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. You will partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear solutions, guide technical strategy, and manage team performance and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Own the
architecture and roadmap
for the enterprise GraphQL API layer and related integration platforms.
Provide
technical direction
and ensure adherence to best practices for API design, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver
straightforward solutions to complex integration needs
.
Drive continuous improvement in
API platform engineering
, developer experience, and integration patterns.
Oversee implementation of
CI/CD pipelines
, containerization strategies, and cloud deployments.
People Leadership & HR Duties
Manage a team of developers and QA engineers, including
performance reviews, goal setting, and career development
.
Foster a culture of
collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
.
Handle
resource planning, hiring, and onboarding
for the integration team.
Provide
mentorship and coaching
, ensuring team members grow in technical and professional capabilities.
Partner with HR on
employee engagement, retention strategies, and compliance
.
Strategic Responsibilities
Align integration platform strategy with
enterprise architecture and business objectives
.
Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to
executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders
.
Influence decisions on
API governance, security standards, and integration frameworks
across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience
in software development, with at least
3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
.
Expert proficiency in
JavaScript/TypeScript
,
Node.Js
, and
GraphQL
.
Strong experience with
REST API design
, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (
MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB
).
Proficiency with Docker
and containerized deployments.
Proficiency with event driven architecture
(SNS/SQS, Kafka
)
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines
, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proven ability to
lead teams
, manage priorities, and deliver results in complex enterprise environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
enterprise systems integration
(CPQ, ERP, PLM, CRM).
Knowledge of
API gateway technologies

microservices architecture
