Medical Gastroenterology - Assistant Professor

Designation required for:

Skills required: Proficiency in diagnostic Upper and Lower GI endoscopy. Competency in perform ing basic therapeutics (including EVL, Dilatation, and Polypectomy) with minimal supervision.

Description of the job: Manage inpatient and outpatient care in a high-volume tertiary hospital. Lead clinical rounds, supervise postgraduate trainees, and participate in a 24/7 emergency GI bleed call rotation. Conduct clinical research in area of interest. Assist in DM Gastroenterology academic schedule and carry out teaching responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience required: Fresh graduates are eligible to apply. Experience in a high-volume tertiary care or academic center is preferred.

Additional Skills requirement: Strong inclination for clinical research and academic publishing. Interest or formal training in specialized areas (e.g., IBD, Hepatology, or Advanced Endoscopy) is highly welcomed. Experience in administrative aspects of gastroenterology will be viewed favourably. Good communication skills, understanding of medical ethics, and ability to work as a team.

Qualifications: DM or DNB in Medical Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
