What You'll Do
Lead daily Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and ensure all operations run efficiently.
Conduct detailed investigations based on security events from various platforms and tools.
Support Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) by reviewing activities, establishing verdicts, and providing supplementary evidence.
Resolve phishing alerts reported by users, including taking necessary remediation actions.
Identify and implement tuning opportunities within various security tools and platforms.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure a cohesive approach to security operations.
Recognize and propose areas for process improvements within the Security Operations team.
Develop and maintain documentation, addressing gaps and improvements.
Build and complete queries against technologies such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, and SOAR.
Develop and implement automations and reporting for various technologies.
Analyze log files to understand and explain anomalous activity.
Conduct independent investigations, identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and navigating complex threat scenarios.
Mentor and develop the Security Operations Team, offering technical and procedural mentorship.
Lead security incidents from detection to root cause analysis (RCA).
Build and implement new detection rules and strategies.
Provide technical leadership within the SOC.
Influence long-term strategies to improve security posture.
Offer mentorship and support for tool integrations and troubleshooting.
Foster cross-team collaboration to drive progress and change.
What We're Looking For
6+ years of experience in SOC and Incident Response operations.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or CHFI are a plus.
Deep technical expertise with SIEM, Continuous Monitoring platforms, IDS/IPS, Network Traffic Analysis, Incident Response, and Endpoint Security Systems.
Advanced knowledge of information security technologies, networking, systems, and authentication, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Strong understanding of the Incident Response process, phishing, and malware investigations.
Ability to lead by example and adapt to various learning styles.
Innovative thinking and adaptability in complex investigations.
Calm and composed under pressure, with an ability to manage competing priorities.
Adherence to detailed policies, playbooks, and procedures.
Outstanding technical writing skills for detailed operational documentation.
Excellent communication skills, including conflict resolution, effective dialogue, negotiation, and active listening.
Eagerness to collaborate and work as part of a cohesive team, locally and globally.
