Role Purpose
The Head - Training Delivery - Ports will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of technical training programs tailored to the operational needs of Adani Ports. This role is pivotal in aligning training initiatives with the Adani Skills & Education Foundationโs mission of fostering sustainable development and enhancing community capabilities. By leveraging expertise in ports operations and technical training, the role ensures the development of a skilled workforce that supports the operational excellence and growth of Adani Ports, while contributing to the broader vision of nation-building through skill development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive training programs focused on ports operations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and operational requirements.
Collaborate with Adani Ports leadership to identify skill gaps and design targeted training interventions to address them.
Lead the creation of technical training content, incorporating the latest technologies and methodologies relevant to port operations.
Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable outcomes.
Establish partnerships with industry experts, academic institutions, and technology providers to enhance training offerings.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through performance metrics and feedback mechanisms.
Drive initiatives to integrate sustainable practices and UN SDG-aligned frameworks into training modules.
Manage a team of trainers and coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Ensure the scalability and adaptability of training programs to meet the evolving needs of Adani Ports.
Act as a strategic advisor to the Head Pro VC on matters related to workforce development and training innovation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Proven expertise in technical training delivery, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in ports operations or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale training programs in a corporate or industrial setting.
Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Educational Background
Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Masterโs degree in Business Administration, Education, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
Years & Type of Experience
15+ years of experience in ports operations, technical training, or workforce development.
Significant exposure to large-scale training initiatives within the maritime or logistics industry.
Domain Expertise
In-depth knowledge of ports operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
Expertise in designing and delivering technical training programs tailored to industrial needs.
Familiarity with sustainable development practices and their integration into workforce training.
Digital & Operational Tools
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Familiarity with simulation tools and technologies used in ports operations training.
Experience with data analytics tools for measuring training effectiveness and workforce performance.
Leadership Capabilities
Strategic vision and ability to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain partnerships.
Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
