Role Purpose
The Country Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all business operations within the country, including sales, finance, HR, customer service, and strategic growth. The role focuses on driving revenue, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and market expansion while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
8+ years of experience in operations, sales, or general management roles
Proven experience in managing P&L, budgeting, and financial analysis
Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
Demonstrated track record in driving revenue growth and market expansion
Strong strategic planning and business development capabilities
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of local regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional local language is an advantage
Key KPIs
Revenue growth and achievement of sales targets
Profitability and P&L performance of country operations
Market expansion and new customer acquisition
Operating expense control within budget
Inventory turnover and accuracy
Customer satisfaction and service quality
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end country operations including sales, finance, HR, and customer service
Manage local billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payments, and compliance with taxation regulations
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, logistics, and supplier coordination to avoid stock shortages and improve efficiency
Drive Profit & Loss (P&L) management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
Develop and execute country-level sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth
Identify new market opportunities and lead business development initiatives
Lead and manage cross-functional teams including sales, customer service, and finance
Set performance targets, conduct evaluations, and foster a high-performance culture
Ensure high standards of customer service and continuous service improvement
Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with local accounting standards
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all local laws, permits, and industry standards
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and government bodies
Conduct strategic planning to support long-term business growth and market penetration
Identify operational and market risks and implement mitigation strategies
