Key Responsibilities

Student Safety & Welfare

Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all students in the hostel. Monitor students’ daily routines, attendance, and hostel discipline. Provide first aid and coordinate emergency care when needed. Act as a mentor and point-of-contact for student concerns.

Hostel Administration

Maintain attendance, leave registers, visitor logs, and room allotments. Supervise housekeeping and cleanliness of rooms, common areas, and amenities. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with facilities teams. Enforce hostel rules, curfews, and safety protocols. Conduct room checks and resolve disciplinary matters.

Student Support & Guidance

Mentor students on rules, responsibilities, study habits, and routine compliance. Address student issues, conflicts, or grievances promptly and professionally. Liaise with academic staff for any academic-related concerns.

Coordination & Facility Management

Coordinate with mess/catering service providers for quality food service and menus. Ensure availability of basic amenities (water, sanitation, electricity). Facilitate safe access control and entry/exit monitoring.

Record Keeping & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of hostel occupancy, incidents, and daily reports. Report to Senior Administration / Campus Leadership on safety, discipline, and housing matters.

Emergency Response

Implement and manage emergency procedures — fire, medical, security incidents. Conduct safety drills and briefings for students and hostel staff.

Communication

Communicate policy updates to students and parents. Coordinate with PW administrative teams on hostel operations and student updates.
