We are seeking an Indoor Air Science & Filtration Materials Lead to drive core research and

development for next-generation Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) systems. This role integrates aerosol

physics, particulate filtration, and indoor air chemistry to develop high-efficiency, low-energy, and

chemically safe air purification technologies tailored for real-world indoor environments.

This position will be the scientific backbone of our IAQ R&D program, working at the intersection of

airflows, particles, gases, and materials.

Key Responsibilities -

Aerosol & Particulate Science

- Analyze indoor aerosol behaviour (PM₁₀, PM₂.₅, ultrafine particles) - Study particle size distribution, deposition, resuspension, and filter loading - Optimize filtration efficiency vs pressure drop and energy consumption - Support airflow design and CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) optimization in collaboration with

mechanical engineers

Chemical Pollutants & Materials -

- Characterize indoor gaseous pollutants (VOCs, SVOCs, aldehydes, odours) - Design and test activated carbon blends, impregnated adsorbents, and hybrid media - Evaluate catalytic and photocatalytic materials with focus on by-product safety - Study secondary pollutant formation and long-term exposure risks - Improve filter lifetime, regeneration potential, and sustainability

Research, Testing & Innovation -

- Design laboratory experiments and testing protocols - Interpret performance data and translate findings into product requirements - Identify patentable materials, media configurations, and system concepts - Support validation against international IAQ benchmarks and health guidelines - Prepare technical documentation, research reports, and IP disclosures

Qualifications

- Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science - Environmental Engineering, or Chemistry with minimum 3 years of experience - Strong foundation in aerosol science, filtration theory, and gas-phase chemistry - Hands-on experience with laboratory research and material testing - Exposure to indoor air quality or air-pollution control technologies preferred

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Ability to work across physics and chemistry domains - Familiarity with adsorption, catalysis, and porous materials - Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), filtration modelling, or experimental rigs

(preferred)

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Research-oriented mindset with product translation capability
