About this Role -

We are seeking a highly skilled

Backend Engineer

with strong experience in

Node.js ,

AWS ,

Firebase , and

Socket.io

to lead backend development for our applications. The ideal candidate should also have working knowledge of

React.js

and

Next.js

to support frontend integration when needed. This role involves managing the end-to-end technical architecture of our app and website, with a core focus on building, optimizing, and maintaining backend APIs and services.

Key Responsibilty -

Design, develop, and maintain

scalable Node.js APIs

and backend services. Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on

AWS

(Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.). Integrate and maintain

Firebase services

(Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions, Realtime DB, FCM). Implement real-time communication using

Socket.io / WebSockets . Optimize database queries, API performance, and backend system reliability. Collaborate with the frontend team and occasionally contribute using

React.js

and

Next.js . Ensure security best practices across APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. Manage deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and devops workflows. Troubleshoot issues across the full stack: backend, frontend, and cloud environment. Oversee the technical health of the overall app/website ecosystem.

Qualifications -

Strong proficiency in

Node.js , Express.js, and API development. Hands-on experience with

AWS cloud services

and infrastructure management. Experience working with

Firebase

(Auth, Firestore, Functions, Messaging). Expertise in

Socket.io

/ WebSockets for real-time features. Solid understanding of

databases

(SQL and NoSQL). Working knowledge of

React.js

and

Next.js

for frontend support. Experience with

Git , CI/CD, and DevOps tools. Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Nice to have -

Experience with microservices or serverless architectures. Knowledge of TypeScript. Experience with mobile app backend support (Flutter, React Native, etc.). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container tools.
