Moodle LMS Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Moodle LMS Specialist to manage, configure, and enhance our Moodle-based learning management system. The role involves working closely with course creators and instructors to ensure smooth delivery of live and recorded learning experiences within Moodle.

Key Responsibilities

-Configure, manage, and maintain Moodle LMS

-Set up and manage courses, cohorts, enrollments, and user roles

-Configure live class integrations within Moodle (e.g., BigBlueButton, Zoom, or similar)

-Manage assignments, quizzes, gradebooks, certificates, and activity completion

-Install, configure, and maintain Moodle plugins and themes

-Ensure system performance, stability, backups, and security

-Troubleshoot Moodle-related technical issues

-Provide basic training and guidance to instructors and admins on Moodle usage

-Maintain documentation related to Moodle setup and workflows

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

-Strong hands-on experience with Moodle LMS

-In-depth knowledge of Moodle core features, roles, and permissions

-Experience with live class integrations inside Moodle

-Experience managing Moodle plugins and configurations

-Understanding of Moodle hosting environments and performance basics

Technical Skills

-PHP and MySQL (working knowledge)

-Familiarity with Moodle database structure

-Basic server and deployment knowledge (Linux preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with BigBlueButton or Zoom–Moodle integration

-Experience managing Moodle for educational platforms or EdTech organizations

-Ability to customize Moodle themes or UI (optional)
