Medical Internist

Job Title: Medical Internist Department: Internal Medicine Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Location: Caribbean Island (Full-Time, On-Site)

Job Summary: A leading hospital in the Caribbean seeking a qualified and compassionate Medical Internist to provide comprehensive care for adult patients. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with complex and chronic medical conditions • Provide inpatient and/or outpatient care as per organizational needs • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results • Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly • Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in EMR systems • Educate patients and families on disease management, prevention, and treatment options • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings • Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Requirements: • MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree with specialization in Internal Medicine • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program • Minimum 2 years of post-training clinical experience • Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the practicing jurisdiction • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
