Servicenow CMDB Lead / CMDB Specialist Location: Onsite Duration: 6 Months Experience Required: 6–8+ Years

Priority: Critical Location- * Hyderabad, Telangana * Mumbai, Maharashtra * Pune, Maharashtra * Bengaluru, Karnataka * Gurugram, Haryana (NCR) * Chennai, Tamil Nadu * Kolkata, West Bengal

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced CMDB Lead with 6–8+ years of relevant experience to take complete ownership of the CMDB function for the client. The candidate will be responsible for governance, implementation, data quality, lifecycle management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure an accurate and reliable CMDB environment.

Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ CMDB Governance

Develop and enforce CMDB policies, procedures, and standards

Define and maintain CMDB scope, including identification and reconciliation of critical CIs

Establish and monitor CMDB performance metrics and SLAs

Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders

Provide resolutions for CMDB-related conflicts

2️⃣ CMDB Design & Implementation

Collaborate with stakeholders to define CMDB requirements and design

Configure and customize CMDB tools as per organizational needs

Implement and maintain CI relationships, hierarchies, and attributes

Ensure CMDB alignment with IT and business services

3️⃣ CI Lifecycle Management

Establish CI identification, reconciliation, classification, and labeling processes

Oversee CI registration, verification, and documentation

Ensure timely updates for all CI changes (additions, modifications, retirements)

4️⃣ Data Integrity & Quality Management

Develop and implement data quality controls

Conduct periodic audits to identify and resolve inconsistencies

Collaborate with stakeholders to address data issues

Drive continuous improvement in CMDB accuracy

5️⃣ Change & Release Management Integration

Work closely with Change & Release teams to ensure CMDB updates

Perform impact analysis for proposed changes

Provide CMDB data during Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings

6️⃣ Reporting & Analytics

Generate CMDB reports and dashboards for stakeholders

Analyze data trends and identify improvement areas

Provide insights for optimizing IT asset and configuration management processes

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in CMDB management

Expertise in CI lifecycle management

Experience in CMDB governance and data quality frameworks

Strong stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of Change & Release Management integration

Ability to lead CMDB function independently
