Job Description
About the Organisation
A prominent UK-headquartered
Asset & Wealth Management firm
is establishing a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, India under a
Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model . This GCC will serve as a strategic operational hub supporting the firm's global functions across the UK, EMEA, APAC, and Americas.
With an ambitious hiring plan underpinning the centre's phased growth, a senior talent acquisition leader is needed to build the recruitment engine from the ground up — attracting and securing the AWM-domain talent that will define this GCC's capability and competitive edge.
⚠️ Please Note — Mandatory Requirement
Candidates without direct Talent Acquisition experience within Asset Management or Wealth Management will not be considered for this role.
You must understand the AWM talent landscape, be able to assess domain credibility in candidates, and bring a strong existing network within the financial services and AWM community in India and globally.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced
Talent Acquisition Lead
with deep AWM sector knowledge to own the end-to-end recruitment function for this greenfield GCC. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role — you will not be stepping into an established TA function. You will be designing and building it.
Working in close partnership with the Senior Delivery Lead, Senior HR Manager, and global HR leadership in the UK, you will be responsible for attracting, assessing, and securing top AWM talent across all functions of the GCC — at pace and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
TA Function Setup & Strategy
Design and implement the end-to-end Talent Acquisition function for the Hyderabad GCC from inception
Develop a TA strategy aligned to the GCC's phased growth plan and BOT model milestones
Define hiring processes, assessment frameworks, offer governance, and onboarding handoff protocols
Select and implement the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and recruitment tooling stack appropriate for the scale and pace of hiring
AWM-Focused Hiring Execution
Lead senior and specialist hiring across all GCC functions with a strong emphasis on AWM domain expertise
Own the full recruitment lifecycle — from job briefing and sourcing through to offer, acceptance, and onboarding
Build targeted talent pipelines across key AWM functional areas including Investment Operations, Risk & Compliance, Finance, Technology, Data, and Client Services
Manage agency and search partner relationships, negotiating terms and ensuring quality and speed of delivery
Employer Brand & Market Presence
Develop and execute an employer brand strategy that positions the GCC as a destination employer within Hyderabad's AWM and financial services talent market
Build the firm's presence at industry events, university partnerships, and professional networks relevant to AWM talent
Create compelling candidate-facing collateral — job adverts, LinkedIn content, and careers page messaging — that authentically reflects the GCC's opportunity and culture
Workforce Planning & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with functional leaders and the Senior Delivery Lead to define role requirements, hiring timelines, and capability profiles
Maintain and report on hiring dashboards, pipeline health, time-to-hire, and quality-of-hire metrics for GCC programme governance
Advise stakeholders on market conditions, talent availability, and compensation benchmarks within the AWM space
Contribute to workforce planning conversations as the GCC scales across functions and seniority levels
Diversity, Inclusion & Compliance
Embed inclusive hiring practices across all recruitment activity — from job design through to panel composition and assessment
Ensure all hiring activity complies with Indian employment law, the firm's global HR policies, and any regulatory requirements relevant to AWM hiring
Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records across all recruitment activity
Global TA Partnership
Serve as the India TA lead within the firm's global talent acquisition community
Collaborate with UK and regional TA teams on cross-border roles, global mobility cases, and consistent candidate experience standards
Contribute market intelligence and India-specific insights to global TA strategy discussions
Key Hiring Areas — GCC Functional Scope

Must Have
12+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, with significant tenure at a senior TA or Head of TA level
✅
Asset Management or Wealth Management domain experience — non-negotiable mandatory requirement
Deep understanding of the AWM talent landscape in India — key talent pools, compensation benchmarks, in-demand skills, and competitive hiring dynamics

Strong track record of senior and specialist hiring across multiple AWM functions simultaneously and at pace
Demonstrated experience managing and optimising agency and executive search partnerships

Existing talent network within the AWM and financial services community in Hyderabad and broader India
Exposure to AWM regulatory hiring requirements — SM&CR, FCA-approved persons, or equivalent
Experience running employer brand campaigns targeting AWM talent
Familiarity with global mobility and cross-border hiring in an AWM context
