PHP Laravel Developer

Experience: 8-10 Years Location: Ahmedabad (WFO)

Job Description:

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Core PHP and Laravel. Translate product and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Optimize application performance and database queries. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning. Write unit and feature tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards. Collaborate closely with product, design, and frontend teams.

Requirements: 5 years of professional PHP development experience (Core PHP + Laravel). Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and time/space complexity analysis, with the ability to build performance-efficient backend systems. Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs. Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Experience working with caching systems (e.g., Redis) and background jobs/queues. Understanding of scalability, concurrency, and backend performance optimization. Experience using Git in collaborative development environments. Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Nice to Have: Experience with PHPUnit and automated testing practices. Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with queues and background job processing. Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures. Frontend experience (Vue.js or React.js).
