Barun Corp is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to support the design and engineering of commercial solar and non-solar projects. This is a salaried, fully remote position offering flexibility and performance-based incentives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes full ownership of their responsibilities, and communicates clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The role requires availability to overlap at least half of the workday with team members operating in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.

What You Will Do Perform structural analysis and prepare calculation packages for commercial solar projects, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and canopy systems. Design and analyze structural components for commercial buildings (primarily steel and concrete, also with wood structures as applicable). Conduct PV racking engineering, including hardware load capacity analysis under wind, seismic, and gravity loads. Collaborate with other disciplines, contractors, and clients to address RFIs and provide engineering support. Review installation documentation and prepare post-installation engineering reports when required. Must Have(s) 7+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer, with strong exposure to U.S. projects. Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards, including ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, and NDS. Experience performing wind and seismic load analysis for commercial structures. Ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Nice to Have(s) Experience in commercial PV solar engineering. Proficiency in structural engineering 3D analysis software such as RISA-3D. Strong understanding of steel and concrete design. Experience reviewing commercial construction documents and supporting projects through the construction phase. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
