Job Title: Data Analyst - E-commerce, Marketplaces & D2C
Location: Bangalore

We are a fast-growing brand operating across all major Indian marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, 1mg, Nykaa, Myntra, and others) as well as D2C digital channels (Meta, Google, CRM, affiliate). We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst who can own the full analytics lifecycle-data acquisition, pipeline creation, ETL automation, visualisation, reporting, forecasting, insights generation, and ongoing data governance.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in
e-commerce analytics ,
marketing analytics ,
data pipelines , and
business performance dashboards . You will work closely with category, operations, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to ensure that the organisation operates with clean, timely and actionable data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Acquisition & Engineering
Identify, connect, and maintain all required data sources across marketplaces, D2C, CRM, and advertising platforms, including:
Amazon SP-API, Flipkart API, Tata 1mg reports, Nykaa seller panel, Shopify, Google Analytics/GA4, Meta Ads, Google Ads, CRM, ERP, inventory systems.
Build automated
ETL pipelines
using Python, SQL, Google Cloud, AWS, or similar.
Develop and manage centralised
Data Warehouse / BigQuery datasets .
Maintain data integrity, versioning, error handling, and scheduled refreshes.
Data Modelling & Analytics
Build models and transformations to compute KPIs such as:
Category share, marketplace scorecards, PPC KPIs, profitability, contribution margins, ROAS, retention cohorts, CLTV, CAC, inventory projections, revenue forecasts, listing conversions, and rankings.
Standardise metrics definitions across teams.
Visualisation & Reporting
Develop dashboards on
Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau or QuickSight :
Daily marketplace dashboards
PPC dashboards (search terms, bids, ACOS/ROAS trends)
D2C performance dashboards (funnel, attribution, remarketing)
Inventory forecasting dashboards
Leadership/Executive dashboards
Create automated reporting suites (daily/weekly/monthly).
Automation & Process Efficiency
Automate repetitive reporting tasks using scripts, APIs or workflow tools.
Set up automated alerts for anomalies (overspends, stock-outs, negative reviews spikes, sudden seller rank changes, etc.).
Business Insight Generation
Conduct deep dives into keyword performance, pricing elasticity, category demand, competitor trends, and customer behaviour.
Provide actionable insights to improve:
Revenue
Advertising efficiency
Organic visibility
Retention & repeat purchase
Profitability
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work with E-commerce, Performance Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment.
Present findings to leadership with clear data storytelling.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical
Strong proficiency in
SQL
and
Python
(Pandas, NumPy, API integrations).
Experience with
Power BI / Looker Studio .
Knowledge of
ETL tools
(Airflow, Fivetran, AWS Glue, or custom scripts).
Experience handling marketplace and advertising data.
Strong understanding of GA4, attribution, and D2C analytics.
Experience with forecasting models (time series, regression).
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and GTM
Working knowledge of major marketing channels: Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads.
Functional / Domain
Prior experience in
e-commerce, D2C, marketplaces, FMCG, nutraceuticals or VMS
preferred.
Deep understanding of KPIs: ACOS, ROAS, TACOS, conversion, repeat rate, sell-through, market share, etc.
Behavioural Competencies

High ownership and bias for automation.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent.
