Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with 2-7 years of experience in software testing, preferably in IT Service Management (ITSM) and networking-related products. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing concepts, defect tracking, test case execution, and basic automation fundamentals. Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting is a plus.

Role & Responsibility:

• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure product quality.

• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on product requirements.

• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and integration testing for ITSM-related products.

• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects in the issue tracking system.

• Work closely with development and product teams to understand technical requirements and business use cases.

• Collaborate in root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and provide feedback for process improvements.

• Validate networking-related features, ensuring smooth communication between different components of the software.

• Verify compliance with ITIL and ITSM best practices in the product.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and assist in test automation integration within the DevOps process.

• Stay updated with industry trends and new automation tools to improve testing efficiency.

• Implement and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Python, or similar frameworks (added advantage)

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 2-7ears of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on ITSM or networking-related products.

• Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and SNMP.

• Experience in manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, TFS, or similar).

• Understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL and their application in software solutions.

• Basic knowledge of APIs, database queries (SQL), and performance testing.

• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment with strong collaboration skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Postman) (is a plus). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

• Hands-on experience in network troubleshooting and log analysis.

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.

• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
