Solution Architect – Linux Platform & Virtualization
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Linux Solution Architect
with at least
10 years of overall IT experience , including
5 years in solution or platform architecture
roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
enterprise virtualization
(VMware, KVM) and will be responsible for leading architecture design, integrating platforms, driving governance, and ensuring delivery of secure, stable, and scalable virtualized solutions. The role emphasizes
outcome-driven delivery
within regulated enterprise environments.
Architecture & Design Responsibilities
Lead solution and enterprise architecture initiatives, translating business, security, and operational requirements into implementable technical architectures.
Drive architecture governance, including board reviews, approvals, and compliance with enterprise standards.
Identify, document, and justify product gaps, risks, constraints, and acceptable deviations.
Convert high-level architecture principles into technical designs, standards, and reference architectures.
Conduct design reviews, architecture assessments, and technical validations.
Implementation Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and operate virtualization and automation platforms with hands-on involvement.
Provide advanced Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and stability enhancements.
Design and implement
KVM-based virtualization solutions
in enterprise environments.
Develop automation scripts and tooling for provisioning, configuration, validation, and lifecycle management.
Support technical validation, UAT, and production readiness activities.
Perform structured incident analysis, root cause investigations, and post-incident documentation.
Delivery & Collaboration Responsibilities
Coordinate across engineering, support, pre‑sales, and delivery teams.
Resolve complex cross-domain technical dependencies and integration challenges.
Collaborate effectively with operations, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Demonstrate accountability, ownership, and reliability in delivering outcomes.
Switch seamlessly between deep technical work, architectural discussions, and stakeholder communication.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Architecture
Strong experience in Solution/Enterprise Architecture.
TOGAF or equivalent certification (beneficial).
Strong requirements engineering skills; CPRE or equivalent certification (beneficial).
Ability to analyze customer requirements and propose viable technical solutions.
Linux Expertise
Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Understanding of kernel behaviour, boot process, system.
Expertise with filesystems (ext4, XFS, GFS2), LVM, VxFS, multipathing, udev.
Experience with clustering technologies such as
Service guard
and
Pacemaker .
Virtualization & Compute
Deep understanding of virtualization and infrastructure.
Extensive experience with
KVM, libvirt, virsh, virt-install, virt-manager .
Strong understanding of VMware (ESXi, vCenter, migration strategies).
Knowledge of CPU models, NUMA, SR-IOV, PCI passthrough, and nested virtualization.
Storage
Strong understanding of SAN/NAS concepts (FC, iSCSI, NFS).
Storage integration with Linux and virtualization platforms.
Networking
Strong Linux networking expertise.
Experience with bonding, LACP, bridging, VLANs.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, MTU, jumbo frames.
Skilled in troubleshooting complex network paths in virtualized environments.
Recommended / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Experience with enterprise virtualization & cloud automation platforms.
Experience working in regulated enterprise environments.
Exposure to automation/orchestration platforms.
Experience in large-scale infrastructure transformation programs.
