Job Summary: Weare seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee our Australian Mortgage Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry knowledge, technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing teams and delivering exceptional client services. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring work quality, and driving the division's overall growth.
Key Responsibilities :
● Oversee and manage the team’s daily tasks, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to timelines. Monitor workflows and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained in all deliverables.
● Contribute to initial and ongoing team training, and drive the training where required.
● Conduct regular reviews of team outputs to identify and rectify discrepancies.
● Provide technical support and guidance to the team on residential, commercial, and asset financing loan applications, as well as other loan types.
● Serveasthe go-to expert for complex cases and problem-solving.
● Organize and lead training programs to enhance the team’s technical skills and industry knowledge.
● Continuously mentor team members to improve their performance and productivity.
● Actasthe primary point of contact for clients, handling escalations, feedback, and routine updates.
● Client onboarding, account and process setup, streamlining operations, and regular client interactions to build and nurture strong relationships, ensuring long-term collaboration.
● Collaborate with internal teams, senior management, and stakeholders to drive the division’s growth.
● Regularly report on team performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
● Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and implement best practices for efficiency and quality.
● Stayupdated with industry trends, lender policies, and regulatory changes.
● Leverage advanced technical knowledge to optimize processes and guide the team in specialized cases.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
● 5-10 years of experience in the Australian mortgage industry, including extensive experience in residential, commercial, and asset financing loan applications.
● At least 1-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
● Proven ability to manage and train teams while maintaining high-quality standards.
● Strong understanding of end-to-end mortgage application processes and industry regulations. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
● Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation and problem-solving.
● Proficiency in mortgage software like MyCRM, Mercury, Flex, Infynity, Salestrekker, NMB, Brokerengine, Quickli and other relevant tools.
● Experience in an outsourcing environment is an added advantage.
