SAP FICO Functional Consultant - Tax Expert

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP RTR (Record-to-Report) Consultant with deep expertise in FICO and a primary specialization in

Global Taxation . You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining tax-related solutions within SAP ECC to ensure our client remains compliant with local, state, and international tax regulations.

As an offshore consultant, you must be self-driven, an excellent communicator, and comfortable working in a high-overlap PST schedule to collaborate directly with US-based stakeholders. please share profile to Key Responsibilities

Tax Configuration:

Lead the design and configuration of SAP Tax modules, including

Indirect Tax (VAT/GST) ,

Sales & Use Tax , and

Withholding Tax (WHT) . External Integrations:

Manage and support integrations with third-party tax engines such as

Vertex RTR Process Excellence:

Optimize Record-to-Report processes, including General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), and month-end/year-end closing activities. Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure system alignment with

GAAP/IFRS

standards and statutory reporting requirements (e.g., SAP DRC - Digital Reporting and Compliance). Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with P2P (Procure-to-Pay) and O2C (Order-to-Cash) teams to ensure seamless tax determination across the supply chain and sales cycles. Technical Documentation:

Author detailed Functional Specifications (FSDs) for custom RICEF objects and work closely with ABAP developers for technical delivery. Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

8+ years of hands-on experience in

SAP FICO , with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations. Tax Expertise:

Minimum 3–5 years focused specifically on

SAP Taxation

(Tax on Sales/Purchases, Tax Jurisdictions, and electronic filing). S/4HANA Knowledge:

Proven experience with

S/4HANA Finance , specifically regarding the Universal Journal and new Tax features. Communication:

Exceptional English verbal and written skills; ability to translate complex tax logic into business-friendly language.
