Job Description
IoT Architecture & Infrastructure Setup
Design and develop end-to-end IoT architecture for energy monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Identify and evaluate suitable IoT sensors, gateways, and platforms for monitoring equipment health, energy usage, and operational performance.
Lead complete deployment of IoT devices across facilities including installation, configuration, testing, and integration with existing systems.
Establish scalable, reliableand maintainable IoT infrastructure.
Energy & Electricity Optimization
Monitor electricity consumption across machinery, lighting, HVAC, utilities, and other assets.
Analyse energy usage patterns to identify wastage, peak load drivers, and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to implement energy-saving initiatives based on IOT insights.
Track and report electricity cost reductions achieved through optimization actions.
Predictive & Preventive Maintenance
Build data models to predict equipment failures using sensor data such as vibration, temperature, current, voltage, and runtime.
Enable automated alerts, thresholds, and dashboards for maintenance teams.
Support the transition from reactive maintenance to predictive and preventive maintenance.
Improve asset uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Develop and manage IoT dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Grafana, or IoT platform dashboards.
Generate weekly and monthly reports on energy consumption, asset health, and cost savings.
Present insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
Vendor & Project Management
Evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors for IoT hardware, software platforms, and system integration.
Ensure timely execution of IoT projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Maintain detailed documentation for IoT systems, configurations, processes, and SOPs.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Ensure IoT solutions follow company security standards and data protection policies.
Implement device authentication, encryption, access control, and monitoring protocols.
Ensure compliance with internal IT and security guidelines.
Minimum Qualification:
B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or related disciplines.
Experience:
2 to 5 years
Required Skills:
Must-Have Technical Skills
Strong understanding of IoT sensors: energy meters, vibration sensors, temperature sensors, etc.
Hands-on experience with IoT communication protocols such as
MQTT, LoRaWAN, Modbus, BLE, Wi-Fi .
Experience working with cloud IoT platforms such as
Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Google IoT, or ThingsBoard .
Expertise in dashboards and analytics tools like
Power BI, Grafana, Kibana .
Basic programming skills in
Python, Node-RED, or similar tools .
Good understanding of
electrical systems, machine maintenance, and industrial automation
