Job Description This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance. The role requires a strong understanding of US and India Accounting best practices (specifically GAAP rules), excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Experience with AI or technology companies is a plus.

Additional Context We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong understanding of both Indian and US accounting principles and practices. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing financial and human resource records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the US and relevant accounting standards in India. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Proficiency in accounting software is essential. You must have demonstrable experience with QuickBooks. Experience with both Zoho and Tally is a plus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reconciling accounts, preparing tax filings (US and India knowledge preferred), assisting with audits, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, issuing invoices and following up on late payments, developing forecasts, implementing internal controls, and managing employee records and assets. You will also be expected to stay current on changes in accounting regulations and best practices in both countries. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively. A strong ethical foundation and commitment to accuracy are crucial.
