Data Engineer

Job summary:

We are seeking a skilled Azure SQL Data Warehouse Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database Development and Azure Data Factory, and a strong background in data warehouse modeling and SQL development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Azure SQL Server. - Build and orchestrate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. - Write complex T-SQL queries for data transformation, cleansing, and reporting. - Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions. - Optimize performance of data models and queries for large-scale datasets.

Required skills:

- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. - Proven background in data warehouse modeling (star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, etc.). - Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database Development. - Clear understanding of table partitioning and be able to demonstrate basic concepts during the interview process.

Preferred skills:

- Exposure to Azure Databricks or other Spark-based tools. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. - Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools.
