Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented

Financial Modeller

with strong experience in transaction-grade financial modelling within asset-heavy industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building complex project finance, valuation, M&A, and long-range planning models to support strategic investment, financing, and credit decisions. This role requires deep commercial understanding, strong technical modelling capability, and the ability to translate operational and technical inputs into robust, auditable financial structures. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Modelling & Analysis Develop and maintain advanced, transaction-grade financial models for: Project Finance transactions Debt advisory and restructuring mandates M&A and valuation engagements Private Equity / Venture Capital analysis Build integrated three-statement models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Develop dynamic models for capital-intensive projects including: Revenue build-up Capex schedules Debt structuring and repayment modelling Working capital modelling Tax and depreciation modelling 2. Business Planning & Forecasting Design and implement long-range financial planning (LRFP) models Prepare feasibility studies and investment appraisal models Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and downside stress testing 3. Transaction & Investment Support Support deal teams in financial due diligence and valuation exercises Conduct DCF, IRR, NPV, and comparable company analysis Evaluate financing structures and optimize capital stack Prepare investment memorandums and credit committee materials Assess covenant compliance and lender return metrics 4. Commercial & Technical Integration Conduct business discovery sessions with technical and commercial teams Translate operational assumptions into structured financial outputs Validate assumptions against industry benchmarks Identify financial risks and mitigation strategies 5. Model Governance & Auditability Ensure models are structured, transparent, and fully auditable Implement best practices in model architecture and documentation Maintain version control and audit trails Conduct independent model reviews and error checks Required Qualifications & Skills Experience 5–7 years of hands-on financial modelling experience Strong background in capital-intensive sectors such as: Manufacturing Oil & Gas Power & Utilities Infrastructure Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, dynamic dashboards, data tables, scenario manager) Strong experience building large-scale, fully integrated financial models Expertise in: DCF modelling Project finance structures Sensitivity & scenario analysis Debt modelling and covenant testing Good working knowledge of IFRS and its application in financial models Understanding of capital budgeting techniques and valuation methodologies Analytical & Soft Skills Strong commercial acumen High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to stress-test assumptions and challenge business inputs Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work under tight deadlines in transaction environments Structured thinking and problem-solving mindset Preferred Qualifications CFA / CA / ACCA / MBA (Finance) preferred Experience working in advisory firms, investment banks, Big 4, PE firms, or large corporates Exposure to international transactions and cross-border projects
