Executive Summary
Engineersmind is seeking a high-caliber, strategic leader to fill the dual-functional role of Head of Delivery and PMO. This is a pivotal leadership position designed for a veteran professional who balances operational excellence with a growth mindset. You will be responsible for the end-to-end success of project delivery, ensuring that our technical execution meets world-class standards while maintaining high profitability and client satisfaction.
You will act as the bridge between "the promise" (Sales/Presales) and "the reality" (Engineering), while working hand-in-hand with HR to scale our talent density.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
The Primary Role focuses on Governance, Execution, and Profitability.
- Strategic PMO Leadership: Establish and evolve the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, defining standard methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and ensuring they are adopted across all teams.
- Delivery Excellence: Oversee the entire portfolio of projects. Ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Work with engineering leads to optimize resource allocation, preventing burnout while maximizing utilization.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project margins, manage P&L for the delivery organization, and identify opportunities for cost optimization without sacrificing quality.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and bottlenecks. Implement mitigation strategies before they impact the client or the bottom line.
Secondary Roles & Responsibilities
The Secondary Role focuses on Continuous Improvement and Cultural Leadership.
- Process Engineering: Audit internal workflows regularly to eliminate technical debt and administrative friction.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the senior escalation point for high-value clients, ensuring their long-term vision aligns with our delivery roadmap.
- Mentorship: Coach and develop Project Managers and Delivery Leads, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

You won't operate in a silo. Your success is dependent on three key internal partnerships:
Partner
Interaction Focus
Sales
Assisting in account growth, identifying upsell opportunities during delivery, and ensuring a seamless handoff from "Signed" to "Started."
Presales
Reviewing SOWs (Statements of Work) and technical proposals to ensure commitments are realistic, achievable, and profitable.
HR
Forecasting hiring needs based on the sales pipeline, participating in technical interviews, and defining performance KPIs for the delivery team.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in project/program management within the engineering or tech services industry.
- Proven Track Record: At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing a PMO or a large-scale delivery department.
- Technical Literacy: While you don't need to code, you must "speak engineer" fluently to understand complexities and provide realistic timelines.
- Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or Scaled Agile (SAFe) certifications are highly preferred.
Core Competencies:
- The "Balancer": Ability to balance the aggressive timelines of Sales with the realistic capacity of Engineering.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project to derive actionable insights.
- Conflict Resolution: A calm-under-pressure demeanor when navigating high-stakes client escalations.
