Head of Sales – India
Location: India (Hyderabad preferred)
Experience: 18–25+ years
Reporting to: Global Sales Head
Role Overview:
The Head of Sales – India will own and drive revenue growth across the India market, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition, strategic account expansion, and building a scalable sales engine aligned to the organization's digital engineering and product-led services portfolio. This role requires a hands-on sales leader who can balance hunting, account growth, GTM strategy, and team leadership, while working closely with delivery, engineering, and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue & Growth Leadership
• Own India P&L for sales, including bookings, pipeline, and revenue growth targets.
• Drive new logo acquisition across mid-market and enterprise customers.
• Expand revenue within existing strategic accounts through cross-sell and upsell of digital engineering services.
• Build and manage a strong, predictable sales pipeline. Sales Strategy & GTM
• Define and execute India GTM strategy aligned to global business priorities.
• Position organization’s offerings across:
o Digital & Product Engineering
o Cloud & Platform Engineering
o Data, AI & Analytics
o IoT, Embedded & Industry 4.0 solutions
• Work closely with marketing and alliances to drive demand generation.
Client & Executive Engagement
• Build trusted relationships with CXOs, founders, and senior technology leaders.
• Lead large, complex deal pursuits including solution shaping, pricing, and negotiations.
• Act as a senior face of the organization for strategic customers in India.
Team Building & Leadership
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing India sales team (hunters + farmers).
• Establish strong sales governance, cadence, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
• Coach teams on value-led selling and consultative sales approaches. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Partner with delivery, engineering, pre-sales, and alliances to ensure strong solutioning and execution.
• Align closely with global sales leadership on pipeline reviews, account strategy, and GTM priorities.
Required Experience & Background
• 18–25+ years of experience in IT services / digital engineering / product engineering sales.
• Proven success in India enterprise sales, including net-new logo wins.
• Experience selling complex digital transformation and engineering-led solutions.
• Strong understanding of technology-driven services, not staff augmentation.
• Track record of building and leading sales teams.
• Experience working in mid-sized / growth-stage technology services firms preferred.
