Design Engineer

Requites & Skills- · Knowledge of solid works (mandatory as we use this for designing) · Legacy conversion (2D to 3D) · Reverse & Re-engineering. · Knowledge of Molds and Mold design would be a plus. · Design & Detailing. · Detailed manufacturing design. · Value engineering & analysis. · Knowledge of rapid prototyping (usage of 3D printer etc.) would be aplus.s · Great computational and spatial ability · Excellent oral and written communication · Technology transfer & Good understanding of tolerances and stack-up analysis of a design/assembly · Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers Layout support. Education & Eligibility- · Mechanical/Tool & Die/Polymer Engineer with relevant background in design. · Experience in design of plastic parts (min 1 to 2 years' experience manadate) · Candidates with experience in the design of cosmetic articles would be a plus. Roles & Responsibilities - · Must be capable of supporting team performance. · Training and improving capabilities of juniors. · Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating with the technical and management aspects of projects. · As a designer you will be responsible for the design of plastic parts and ensure DFM, create 2d drawings, create KLD - all in Solid works software only. · You will also be responsible for bringing improvements in existing products and processes when needed. · You will be stationed at our Andheri office. However, since you will work closely with the factory team, you will have to visit factory (Virar) from time to time as and when needed. · For innovation projects you will be responsible for research and ideation. · Maintaining a record of changes and revisions for all designs will be your prime responsibility. · You may also be involved in the design of non-plastic parts like fixtures or other parts as per requirement. Other responsibilities- · Write detailed reports & creative design solutions to problems. · Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers · Use of general software like Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Position-
