Position Title - Enterprise Business applications-Portfolio owner
Key Responsibilities -
The
Head of Applications & Architecture
is responsible for defining, governing, and executing the enterprise
application, architecture, and partner strategy
across
SAP and Non‑SAP landscapes . The role ensures operational stability, drives continuous improvement, and leads modernization initiatives while managing strategic partners and large‑scale application portfolios aligned to business outcomes.
Enterprise Applications Leadership
Own end‑to‑end responsibility for the
SAP and Non‑SAP application portfolio , including run, change, and transformation.
Lead
application lifecycle management —demand intake, design, delivery, stabilization, and optimization.
Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of business‑critical applications
Architecture & Technology Strategy
Define and govern the
enterprise application and architecture roadmap
aligned to business strategy.
Drive
standardization, simplification, and rationalization
of the application landscape.
Lead modernization initiatives including
cloud adoption, automation, and platform upgrades .
Ensure scalable, secure, and future‑ready architectures across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Application Management & Operations
Lead
AMS operations
across SAP and Non‑SAP platforms with strong SLA, KPI, and outcome‑based governance.
Own
incident, problem, change, and release management
across enterprise systems.
Drive operational excellence through
automation, observability, and proactive monitoring .
Partner & Vendor Management
Own
strategic partner management
across system integrators, AMS providers, SaaS vendors, and technology partners.
Define and govern
partner operating models , engagement frameworks, and performance metrics.
Lead
commercials, contract negotiations, renewals, and cost optimization
initiatives.
Ensure partners contribute to
innovation, continuous improvement, and business value realization , not just delivery.
Drive accountability through regular
partner performance reviews and governance forums .
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Establish a strong
continuous improvement culture
across applications and architecture.
Drive
process optimization, automation, and technical debt reduction
initiatives.
Leverage data, metrics, and feedback to improve service quality, cost efficiency, and user experience.
Lead
incremental and transformational improvements
across SAP and Non‑SAP platforms.
Benchmark application performance and partner delivery against
industry best practices .
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Establish and enforce
application and architecture governance frameworks .
Ensure compliance with
security, audit, regulatory, and data privacy
requirements.
Proactively manage application risks, obsolescence, and resilience planning.
People & Capability Development
Build and lead high‑performing
applications, architecture, and platform teams .
Develop internal capability across
SAP, Non‑SAP, integration, and emerging technologies .
Foster a culture of
ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning .
