Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the complete execution and delivery of large-scale mall or commercial building projects. The role involves overseeing planning, design coordination, execution, quality, safety, and stakeholder management to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and as per specified standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Strategy
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
Prepare resource deployment plans, procurement schedules, and cost control measures.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
2. Execution & Site Management
Oversee daily project execution ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor progress through site inspections, review meetings, and milestone tracking.
Coordinate civil, MEP, architectural, façade, interior finishes and external development works.
3. Team and Contractor Management
Lead multidisciplinary teams including Planning, QS, MEP, EHS, Civil, and Finishing engineers.
Manage contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants for smooth site coordination.
Ensure manpower and resource optimization.
4. Cost & Budget Control
Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost variations.
Review contractor bills, material reconciliations, and financial forecasts.
Ensure adherence to cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Implement strict QA/QC protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and quality checklists.
Conduct quality audits and rectify non-conformities.
6. Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to EHS guidelines and statutory regulations.
Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and enforce safe work practices.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and statutory authorities.
Present progress reports (DPR/WPR/MPR) to management and stakeholders.
Handle design conflicts, contractual issues, and on-site escalations.
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive project documentation for approvals, audits, and handover.
Report delays, challenges, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
Expertise in civil execution of large-scale commercial projects.
Knowledge of MEP interfaces, façade, fire safety, and interior finishing.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera).
Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
PMP or project management certifications (preferred).
