Director of Engineering

Role - Director Of Engineering Experience - 12+ years Work Location - Remote Required Notice Period - Immediate Joiners to 30 days

Note - Applicants should be working with a Product-based company or should have completed their education from Tier 1 colleges or institutions like IIT, IIIT, BITS, etc

Must Have Python & Python Coding of 7+ years A minimum of 2 Engineering Managers (EM's) should be reporting to you Should have real-time experience in Python Coding and should be comfortable doing Python Coding Realtime working experience in TypeScript & GraphQL

Job Description As a hands-on and execution-focused engineering manager, you will lead a team that builds and scales the core customer quoting experience on xometry.com. You’ll guide the team in solving complex technical and business problems while fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for helping your team succeed by setting clear expectations, driving delivery, mentoring and coaching engineers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners. This is a highly impactful role for a driven leader who thrives on empowering others, removing blockers, and rolling up their sleeves when needed.

Qualifications At least 15+ years of experience and a proven track record leading software development teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. Has led a team of 20+ people. Can mentor engineers, but also keep an eye on engineers who did not meet the bar. Strong technical expertise. You will need to either have or quickly build technical expertise in the following: Experience in Python, Typescript, Node.js Experience in front-end web technologies, including HTML/DOM/CSS, React, and Typescript Cloud hosting services, especially AWS Containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) Experience in GraphQL
