Job Description
To manage and oversee the
month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, statutory & internal audits, internal controls, ICOFR testing, and banking activities , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting while building a strong and capable finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, journal entries, and adjustments
Review and approve general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within defined timelines
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
General Ledger & Reconciliations
Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
Perform regular GL, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
Monitor updates in accounting standards and assess their impact on financial reporting
Statutory & Internal Audits
Prepare audit schedules and financial statements as per
Ind AS
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audit requirements
Ensure minimal audit observations and qualifications
Ensure compliance with internal processes and company policies, supporting strong internal audit outcomes
ICOFR & Internal Controls
Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework
Drive effective ICOFR implementation and testing
Ensure minimal non-compliances and timely remediation of control gaps
Team Development & Leadership
Hire, train, and motivate finance team members
Identify training needs and facilitate technical and functional skill development
Conduct performance appraisals and support succession planning
Develop internal talent for key finance roles
Skills & Knowledge
Functional Skills
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
Working knowledge of
SAP

MS Excel
