Job Description
The Director-F&A Controllership will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial controllership, ensuring robust accounting, statutory compliance, audit readiness, internal controls, and high‑quality financial reporting across Cyient Semiconductors’ India and overseas entities. The role will act as the single point of accountability for books of accounts, closing, audits, regulatory filings, and governance, supporting rapid scale‑up of the semiconductor business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Controllership & Reporting
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for Cyient Semiconductors entities in India and overseas.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS.
Drive consistency in accounting policies, judgments, and estimates across entities.
Review and sign off on management financials, variance analysis, and CFO dashboards.
Statutory, Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Lead statutory audits, tax audits, transfer pricing audits, and regulatory reviews across jurisdictions.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, ODI/FDI regulations, GST, Income Tax, TDS, and withholding taxes.
Oversee cross‑border transactions, inter‑company accounting, and documentation.
Act as finance SPOC for banks, auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
Internal Controls & Governance
Design, implement, and monitor internal financial controls (IFC) aligned with Cyient group standards.
Strengthen process documentation, SOPs, RCMs, and audit trails for a scaling semiconductor business.
Partner with Internal Audit and Big‑4 advisors to close audit observations and improve control maturity.
Support Board / Audit Committee requirements with high‑quality finance packs and disclosures.
Business Partnering & Scale Enablement
Partner with business, delivery, and engineering leadership to support:
Revenue recognition for engineering services, ASIC turnkey, and milestone‑based contracts
Cost governance, project margin tracking, and capitalization of development costs (where applicable)
Support entity set‑ups, mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring as the semiconductor business scales globally.
Enable finance readiness for customer audits, partner due diligence, and funding / investment activities.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the R2R / Controllership team, building depth and succession.
Drive automation and simplification through ERP, close tools, and reconciliations discipline.
Foster a strong compliance, ownership, and quality mindset within the finance team.
Key Skills & Competencies
Deep expertise in Ind AS / IFRS, consolidation, and complex accounting areas
Strong understanding of engineering services / semiconductor / technology business models
Hands‑on experience with multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments
Strong stakeholder management with auditors, bankers, tax advisors, and senior leadership
High attention to detail, governance mindset, and ability to operate in a fast‑growing environment
Qualification & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
15+ years of post‑qualification experience, with significant experience in:
Controllership / Financial Accounting roles
Technology, engineering services, semiconductor, or product companies
Handling audits and compliance for India + overseas subsidiaries
Prior experience in Big‑4 audit or advisory (preferred)
