Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the production of high-quality CAD and BIM models and drawings related to airport airside components: Runways, taxiways, aprons, and associated airfield systems. This role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams and plays a key role in ensuring that design outputs meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Under the leadership of the senior design production manager, the candidate will develop, coordinate, and maintain the 3D BIM and 2D CAD deliverables for airfield civil elements
(geometry, 3D design development, pavement layers, lighting, drainage, signage, etc.).
Develop civil and airfield engineering drawings and convert them into accurate, detailed BIM models and CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant tools.
Apply BIM execution plans (BEP) to the design being developed.
Attend meetings with airport planners, civil engineers, and MEP teams to integrate design data, identify and resolve design clashes.
Support the setup and maintenance of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and digital workflows.
Conduct clash detection, quantity take-offs, and visualization reviews using BIM tools.
Apply methodology of documentation and revision control of all drawings and models in accordance with project procedures.
Qualifications
Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD/BIM. Airport or airfield-related experience would be preferred.
Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360.
Understanding of complex civil design principles, including geometry, 3D layers, pavement design and utility coordination.
Familiarity with ICAO, FAA, and local aviation authority standards would be a plus.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary design environment.
Ability to work within a Team, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Additional Information
BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BuildingSMART).
Experience with GIS integration and digital twin platforms.
Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Dynamo, Python for BIM).
