Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
QA Project Manager
with strong exposure to
General Insurance and/or Life Insurance systems . The role involves owning
end-to-end QA delivery , managing testing teams, defining test strategy, handling UAT with business users, and ensuring high-quality releases across insurance applications.
This role is ideal for professionals who have grown from
testing into QA leadership and project management .
Key Responsibilities
QA Project & Delivery Management
Own
end-to-end QA delivery
for insurance projects from initiation to production release
Define and execute
Test Strategy, Test Plan, and QA Governance model
Manage testing schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
Coordinate with Development, Business, Product, and Vendors
Insurance Domain Testing
Lead testing for
Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Premium, Renewals, Endorsements
Experience in
Life Insurance
modules such as New Business, Policy Servicing, Claims, Rider Management
Experience in
General Insurance
(Motor, Health, Property, Fire, Marine, Travel)
Ensure regulatory, compliance, and business rule validation
SIT / UAT / Release Management
Plan and manage
SIT, System Integration Testing, and Regression cycles
Own
UAT planning and execution
with business users and external partners
Lead
defect triage meetings , prioritization, and closure
Provide
Go / No-Go recommendations
for production releases
Team & Stakeholder Management
Manage and mentor
QA teams (onshore/offshore)
Allocate work, track performance, and ensure delivery quality
Act as the primary QA point of contact for
clients and senior stakeholders
Provide regular
status reports, dashboards, and risk updates
Automation & Process Improvement
Define
automation strategy
and roadmap (where applicable)
Identify areas for test optimization and process improvements
Drive QA best practices, metrics, and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
12+ years of overall testing experience
5–7+ years in
QA Project Manager / Test Manager / QA Manager
role
Strong
General Insurance and/or Life Insurance
domain knowledge
Hands-on experience with
Test Strategy, SIT, UAT, Defect Management
Strong stakeholder and client management skills
Experience in
Agile and Waterfall
delivery models
Tools:
JIRA, ALM/QC, Azure DevOps
or similar
Good to Have
Automation exposure (Selenium, API testing, CI/CD)
Experience working with
core insurance platforms
(Guidewire, Life Asia, Ingenium, etc.)
Certifications:
ISTQB, Scrum Master, PMP (preferred, not mandatory)
Experience in managing
large QA teams (15+ members)
