Job Description
Lead -Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics Product & Systems
Role Purpose
Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for electrical and power electronics engineering, owning product and system architecture, detailed electrical design, validation, and industrialization of high-power conversion systems across AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, and bidirectional platforms suitable for Solar, BESS/PCS, EV Chargers, Electrolysers, and Industrial Power Conversion businesses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical & System Architecture Leadership
Define electrical system architecture for:
Solar Inverters (String & Central)
BESS Power Conversion Systems (PCS)
EV Chargers (AC, DC Fast & Ultra-Fast)
Electrolyser Power Supplies
Own electrical specifications: voltage/current levels, isolation, grounding, protection, efficiency, and reliability.
Lead adoption of SiC / IGBT / GaN devices and advanced topologies (NPC, ANPC, AFE, DAB, LLC).
Ensure grid compatibility, harmonic performance, and fault-ride-through capability.
2. Product Engineering & Execution
Lead and mentor teams covering:
Power Electronics, Electrical Systems Engineering
Interface with Mechanical, Control & Embedded Software
Lead Product development
Own Engineering Process from Electrical BOM , Engineering drawing
Establish electrical design guidelines, review processes, and technical governance.
Drive design trade-offs balancing cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Ensure DFMEA, PFMEA, and safety analysis are integral to development.

3. Product Development Lifecycle Ownership
Own complete electrical engineering lifecycle:
Requirements → Architecture → Detailed Design → Prototype → Validation → Certification → Production support
Implement V-Model / Stage-Gate / APQP processes.
Drive platform-based product development for scalability and reuse.
Lead value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
4. Compliance, Standards & Certification
Ensure compliance with applicable standards:
Solar & PCS: IEC 62109, IEC 61727, IEEE 1547, UL 1741
EV Chargers: IEC 61851, IEC 62196, ISO 15118
EMC/EMI: IEC 61000 series
Functional Safety: IEC 61508 (where applicable)
Interface with UL, TÜV, Intertek, and grid authorities.
Own electrical validation strategy, test coverage, and certification success.
5. Manufacturing, Quality & Field Reliability
Support NPI, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
Lead electrical failure analysis, field issue RCA, and corrective actions.
Drive reliability engineering, and accelerated life testing.
Collaborate with supply chain for vendor qualification and second sourcing.
6. Business & Stakeholder Engagement
Interface with customer, partner, and regulatory discussions.
Support pre-sales, technical proposals, and customer customizations.
Align engineering priorities with business strategy, cost targets, and delivery timelines.
Build and retain a high-performance electrical engineering organization.

Education
BE / BTech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
MTech / PhD preferred
Experience
15–25+ years in electrical & power electronics product development
Strong background in high-power converter and inverter systems (kW–MW)
Experience taking products from concept to mass production
Electrical Design, Systems Engineering, Advanced Development
Knowledge of SAP, PLM and Other Engineering tools.
