Purchase engineer

Core Purpose This role will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, electronic components, and pneumatic hardware at the most competitive prices. They must balance technical specifications with cost-efficiency and ensure a \"Zero-Breakdown\" supply chain for production.

Key Responsibilities A. Technical Sourcing Source specialized components for robotics and dispensing machines Understand technical drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials) to ensure 100% accuracy in parts ordered. B. Vendor Development & Management Identify and audit new vendors in the Pune industrial hub and globally. Negotiate prices and close deals Evaluate vendor performance based on

Quality, Lead Time, and Credit Terms . C. Cost Optimization Conduct

Value Engineering : Finding alternative components or materials that offer the same performance at a lower cost. D. Inventory & Coordination Implement good purchasing practices for procurement and reduce warehouse carrying costs. Coordinate with the Production team to prevent \"Line-Down\" situations. Manage the \"Inward Quality\" process—ensuring that what was ordered is exactly what was delivered.

Candidate Profile Education:

B.E. / B.Tech in

Mechanical or Mechatronics (A technical background) Experience:

3–5 years in a manufacturing setup (preferably in Special Purpose Machinery Skillset:

* Strong negotiation and \"haggling\" skills. Knowledge of GST, Customs Duty, and Import/Export documentation (if sourcing parts from abroad). Ability to read technical datasheets (TDS).
