Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an Online Phonics Tutor. The tutor will engage with young learners through interactive and customized 1:1 online sessions to teach phonics and foundational reading skills. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and maintaining a positive, encouraging learning environment. Collaboration with parents and the team to address student needs and ensure consistent development is key.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in phonics instruction, early literacy, and foundational reading skills Experience in developing interactive, age-appropriate learning materials and activities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage young learners and communicate with parents Patience, adaptability, and an encouraging approach to teaching Proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital tools Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred Prior experience in teaching or tutoring young learners is highly desirable Fluency in English with a clear, neutral accent
