Designation: Senior Accountant Officer
Experience: 8– 10 Years
Nature of Appointment: Full-time, on-campus role
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance,
• Professional qualification such as M.Com, CA (Inter), CMA (Inter), or equivalent will be an added advantage. • Strong academic background with sound knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliances.
Experience:
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounts, finance & taxation.
• Handling end to end PVT company accounts upto finalization.
• Online shopping accounting and settlement knowledge
• Experience of wealth Management, investments, insurance, mutual funds and real estate knowledge
• Hands-on experience in Income Tax, GST, TDS, and ROC compliances.
• Practical exposure to ERP systems and Tally for accounting and reporting.
• Experience in handling credit card transactions and foreign exchange (forex) payments.
• Experience in coordination with auditors, consultants, banks, and statutory authorities.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
Role Summary:
The Accounts Assistant will support the Accounts and Finance function by ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and smooth execution of accounting operations. The role involves handling taxation, ERP-based accounting, statutory filings, reconciliations, and payment processes including credit card and forex transactions, in alignment with university policies and regulatory requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, vouchers, ledgers, and financial records using ERP systems and Tally. • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Perform bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations. • Monitor expenses, budgets, and fund utilization in coordination with the Finance team.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Handle Income Tax, GST, TDS, and ROC-related compliances. • Prepare and file GST returns, Income Tax returns, TDS returns, and statutory filings within prescribed timelines. • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, university statutes, and regulatory frameworks. • Maintain statutory registers, challans, returns, and compliance documentation.
Payments & Banking Operations
• Process vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and statutory payments. • Handle credit card transactions and settlements in accordance with internal controls. • Manage and track foreign exchange (forex) payments, documentation, and compliance requirements. • Coordinate with banks for transactions, reconciliations, and confirmations.
Audit & Regulatory Coordination
• Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits by preparing schedules, statements, and supporting documents. • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities. • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance points.
Institutional & Administrative Support
• Coordinate with HR, Procurement, Admissions, and other departments on finance and accounting matters. • Prepare MIS reports, statements, and financial summaries using MS Excel and Word. • Maintain proper financial records, files, and documentation for management review.
Required Skills & Expertise:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliances. • Practical expertise in Income Tax, GST, TDS, ROC, ERP, and Tally. • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. • Experience in credit card and forex payment handling. • Strong analytical, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
