Role Overview
The Finance Manager will lead unit-level finance operations. The role requires a Chartered Accountant with hands-on hotel finance experience, strong control over accounting fundamentals, and the ability to partner closely with operations.
The incumbent will oversee accounting, taxation, MIS, and cost controls, while ensuring compliance and accurate reporting in line with hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Controls
Oversee Accounts Payable, General Ledger, payments, and reconciliations.
Review journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing activities.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements.
Monitor revenue recognition and outlet-level accounting.
Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to finance SOPs.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
Coordinate with consultants and auditors for tax filings and statutory audits.
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
Hospitality Operations Finance
Track F&B costs, inventory movements, and consumption variances.
Monitor departmental expenses and support cost optimisation initiatives.
Review billing processes across outlets, memberships, and events.
Support cash flow planning and working capital management.
MIS & Business Support
Prepare monthly MIS reports with variance analysis and key insights.
Support budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to improve financial discipline at the unit level.
Candidate Profile
Chartered Accountant (mandatory).
Currently working in a hotel or hospitality setup.
3–4 years of post-qualification experience.
Currently at Assistant Manager level or equivalent.
Strong exposure to Accounts Payable, GL, payments, taxation, and MIS.
Comfortable with hotel accounting systems and ERP platforms.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
