About the Project

We are a digital agency managing a full website rebuild for themvp.in - an Indian custom PC brand with enterprise clients including Netflix, ISRO, and Microsoft. All design is finalized in Figma (23 page templates, design system, motion guidelines). We are looking for a Developer who is well versed with Shopify platform to implement the design without any changes.

This is a technically demanding project. Three custom-coded modules sit at the core: a logic-gated PC compatibility builder, a specs comparison tool, and a forum integration. If you only do standard Shopify theme work, this is not the right fit.

What You Will Build

Custom Shopify theme from scratch - pixel-perfect implementation of Figma designs at 4 breakpoints (375px, 768px, 1024px, 1440px) Dual mega-menu: use-case categories AND product-type navigation (Laptops, Workstations, Rackstations, Servers, Storage Solutions) Animation implementation across all ~150 pages (from 23 unique templates) per Motion Guidelines doc - GSAP or CSS; homepage, category, and builder get full treatment PC Compatibility Builder: step-by-step configurator with real-time compatibility filtering, CPU Socket, RAM support, TDP validation, chassis clearance checks, live price counter, save/share build PC Specs Comparison Tool: side-by-side grid for up to 4 builds, filter panel, highlight-winner logic, PDF export, shareable URL, mobile swipe stack Forum: Bettermode or Discourse embed, custom CSS skin matching design system, Shopify SSO integration Order Tracking: visual build-stage tracker (Sourcing → Assembly → Stress Testing → QC → Shipped) Shopify metafield schema for all product specs and compatibility rules; CMS documentation for client ops team Integrations: WhatsApp button, Calendly embed, CRM form hook, GA4, Meta Pixel, Google Tags

Must Have

3+ shipped custom Shopify theme projects (not theme customisations - ground-up builds) Custom Liquid + JavaScript - you write clean, maintainable code that another dev can pick up GSAP or CSS animation experience - you can implement from a Motion Guidelines spec without reinterpreting it Shopify metafields and custom data architecture experience Experience building interactive product configurators or multi-step forms on Shopify Cross-browser and cross-device QA/QC Performance optimisation experience - this site needs fast load on product-heavy pages Can read a Figma file in Dev Mode and implement without needing a designer on a call

Strong Advantage

Experience with Discourse, or similar community platform embedding and skinning Shopify Storefront API or custom app development experience (for comparison tool and builder) Prior work on hardware, electronics, or component-level e-commerce

Engagement Details

Commitment: 170–230 hours over 4–8 weeks (part-time, ~25 hrs/week) Work Mode: Fully remote Compensation: Fixed fee. Rate based on portfolio and experience. Typical Range: ₹60,000 – ₹80,000 for full engagement Tools: Shopify, Figma (read only), GitHub, Slack Design Input: Full Figma handoff provided - all 23 page templates, design system, motion guidelines Start Date: ~April 2026 (once design handoff complete)
