Role Overview
BuiltWorld AI is seeking a
Research & Writing Associate
with strong analytical writing capabilities and experience in developing structured research content.
The role involves researching emerging applications of artificial intelligence across the built environment, synthesizing complex information, and producing well-structured research outputs including analytical reports, sector analyses, and long-form publications.
The position requires the ability to examine emerging technology trends, translate technical developments into clear analytical insights, and contribute to research initiatives focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct structured research on emerging applications of AI across sectors of the built environment, including buildings, infrastructure, mobility systems, construction, energy networks, and urban systems.
Analyze technology trends, solution categories, and implementation models related to AI adoption within these sectors.
Develop research reports, analytical articles, and structured publications based on collected insights and sector analysis.
Synthesize information from academic research, industry developments, company case studies, and technology platforms.
Contribute to the development of thematic research studies examining AI interventions across different layers of the built world.
Support the documentation of emerging use cases, industry patterns, and implementation frameworks.
Collaborate with the research team to develop structured knowledge outputs and research publications.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates with
demonstrated strength in analytical writing and research-based content development .
Required
Strong experience in
research-oriented writing , including analytical reports, long-form articles, policy papers, academic work, or structured research publications.
Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in clear, well-structured written formats.
Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to independently investigate emerging topics and organize insights into coherent narratives.
Preferred (but not mandatory)
Background in
architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, infrastructure studies, real estate, construction, or related built-environment disciplines .
Familiarity with
AI, digital technologies, or technology applications within industry sectors .
Exposure to
urban systems, infrastructure ecosystems, or technology adoption in the built environment .
Academic thesis, research publications, or prior research assistant experience.
Note:
Candidates from other disciplines with strong writing and research ability are also encouraged to apply.
