Position Description: This position is responsible for the timely development of cost and pricing for all custom products and their components, as well as cost proposals for large non-custom product opportunities brought in by the Sales team. The Custom Product Specialist interprets customer requests collected by the Sales team, which may include a description, specifications, and/or drawings. Based on established processes and guidelines, the CPS is responsible for correct setup in the ERP system and pricing of the custom product. The CPS is also responsible for identifying possible vendors, either internal or external, and interfacing with them to determine the product cost. The CPS ensures the customer request is satisfied by interfacing with various departments including, but not limited to, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain. The CPS is also responsible for coordinating with Sales and Engineering to manage any changes throughout the lifecycle of the custom product. Each CPS is assigned one or more product lines and is expected to become very familiar with the product offering for that product line at Infinite.

General Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret customer request provided by Sales team and identify internal capabilities or external vendor who can satisfy the request Effectively communicate with vendors to determine product costs Follow established guidelines to set price for custom products Manage custom product request queue for assigned product line(s) and address requests with a sense of urgency Maintain records of customer product documentation to ensure accuracy of product requirements Serve as the key liaison with Supply Chain to determine appropriate costs and possible substitution alternatives. Prepare cost models for large proposal opportunities Meet or exceed departmental KPI requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity and ability to read CAD drawings, manufacturer’s datasheets, fabrication diagrams and assembly drawings Ability to perform basic math and business calculations, including unit conversion and margin calculation Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team Must be detail oriented with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines. Experience in generating quotes or job estimates in a cable assembly or manufacturing environment a plus. A good understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing practices, financial acumen, as well as a solid understanding of ShowMe Cables products a plus. Expert user of Windows computer programs, especially Excel spreadsheets and charting in both Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory.

This role requires flexibility to work in US and UK shifts on a rotational basis, in alignment with global business requirements.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred 5-7 years of experience in technical sales/support and costing required
